Our program

Classes

Little Blossoms Baby Class (3 Months to 24 Months):

Our baby program is designed to provide each child with a safe and nurturing environment that will stimulate learning. Teachers actively chart the development of each child and provide parents with daily communication regarding their child’s personal care routine.

Sprouts Toddler Class (2 – 3 years):

In the toddler class, teachers actively work towards potty-training each child. To prepare the children for the next classes program, children are introduced to the concept of learning through play, and are slowly transitioned into our education programs, such as the CAPS curriculum. Furthermore, the curriculum provides a strong vocabulary enriched base so that Literary Skills may be introduced to children.

Sunshine Class (4 years):

The curriculum in this class introduces several learning concepts such as literacy, maths, and critical thinking skills, taught through our weekly themes. Vocabulary development is very important at this stage too, as children will begin to learn the art of writing. Furthermore, children are exposed to a print-rich environment, which allows students to associate written language to oral language. Parents are fully aware of their child’s academic progress through two yearly assessment reports and parent- teacher meetings.

Pre-Grade R and Grade R (5-6 years):

These are the most important years in Pre Primary, as the children are registered on the Western Cape Education Department database and are given a learner number which they carry right into their last years of school. The curriculum is designed to challenge and prepare the learners for “big” school, and to not only get them academically ready, but emotionally ready too.

Their learning is based on a strict weekly program, which taps into all areas of the classroom, i.e., Literacy, Math, Life Orientation, and Movement. All of these are assessed termly, and progress reports sent out. Children that do not meet the required milestones in certain areas assessed, are then advised to attend extra therapy sessions, or extra lessons.

Aftercare (Grade 1 - 7):

Our aftercare service offers morning care and aftercare during the school term. This includes transport using our own private school bus, to and from selected schools. Homework assistance, meals, and full-time care during the school holidays. During holiday time we offer wonderful activity programs where the children are entertained and treated.

Such a warm & nurturing environment. Our children were extremely happy. Our son who is 5 turning 6 in July has just done his assessment in Australia and is absolutely on par with the development requirements, & has started school - a true testament of quality care!
